Lock & Earn is a risk-free financial instrument that allows you to earn SFS tokens by locking your SFS Wallet balance for a fixed period of time.

 

By locking SFS tokens, you demonstrate long-term engagement with the SFScoop ecosystem. As with any engagement, your participation is rewarded once the lock period is completed.

 

How It Works:

• Enter the amount of SFS tokens you want to lock.
• Select your preferred lock period.
• Wait for the lock-up period to finish and receive your locked SFS tokens plus SFS rewards back.

 

A. REWARDS AND CONDITIONS

 

When locking SFS tokens, you can choose from several Lock & Earn plans, each defined by:

 

• APY (Annual Percentage Yield) — indicates the expected annual return based on your locked amount.
• Locking Period — the number of days your SFS tokens remain locked before SFS rewards are released.
• Platform Fee — a fee charged by SFScoop at the end of the lock period, deducted only from your earned rewards (your initial SFS tokens remain unaffected).
• Minimum / Maximum Amount — the range of SFS tokens you can lock per plan.

 

APY applies to your total locked amount and may vary over time.

 

SFS Rewards are calculated daily and added to a pending balance. The pending balance is not included in the total amount of locked SFS tokens and therefore does not compound during the current week.

 

At the beginning of each week, the SFS rewards accumulated in the pending balance are transferred to the total locked SFS amount and start compounding when calculating the next SFS rewards. The minimum transferable amount from the pending balance to the total locked amount is 0.01 SFS.

 

To calculate SFS rewards, the following formula is used:

 

$$Rewards = Total \times ((1 + APY)^{\frac{Hours}{8760}} - 1)$$

 

Where:

• Total — the amount of locked SFS tokens
• APY — the annual percentage yield (in decimal form, e.g., 0.12 for 12%)
• Hours — the elapsed time in hours since the last SFS reward (typically 24 hours)

 

Example: Locking 10,000 SFS at 12% APY:

 

Day 1

Total: 10,000 SFS

Pending: 3.1053 SFS

Earnings: 0 SFS

Total: 10,000 SFS

Pending: 6.2107 SFS

B. GLOBAL USD LOCK LIMIT

 

Lock & Earn has a maximum USD limit for the total value of SFS tokens you can lock. This limit is global — meaning you can lock SFS tokens across multiple plans as long as the total SFS equivalent in USD does not exceed the global limit.

 

C. LOCK & EARN SUMMARY

 

In your Lock & Earn App Summary, you can view:

 

• Average APY across all locked SFS tokens.
• Time remaining until your first unlock.
• Next reward payout date.
• Remaining USD limit available for new SFS locks.
• Total earned SFS rewards pending release.
• Total locked SFS tokens across all plans.
• Pending SFS rewards accumulated during the current payout cycle.

 

D. EARLY UNLOCK

 

You can unlock your SFS tokens at any time without fees or waiting periods.

 

However, if you unlock early, all earned SFS rewards from the locked SFS Tokens will be withdrawn in favor of SFScoop

 

SFS Rewards are only withdrawn for the tokens you unlock early — tokens that remain locked continue earning as usual.

 

To unlock early:

• Go to the “Earn” tab in the SFScoop App menu.
• Under the Lock & Earn Summary, locate the locked SFS tokens you want to unlock.
• Click the menu icon next to your locked SFS tokens.
• In the details view, select Unlock Early in the upper-left corner.
• Confirm by clicking Unlock
