The Curator Request Module provides powerful functionality to help you find curator contacts and send requests to add your tracks to their playlists.
The module is divided into several key sections:
Below, we’ll explain the features and functionality of each section in detail.
To send requests to curators, you first need to find their contact information.
Select Your Genres:
Enter up to 3 music genres in the Enter genre field. Sigmund will match you with curators based on these genres. To make the process easier, you can use Sigmund’s hint by clicking the light bulb icon. Sigmund will suggest the most optimal genre for your curator search, considering the genres you've selected in the past.
Scrape Contacts:
After choosing your genres, click the Scrape Contacts button. The scraping process may take some time, and you can monitor the progress. Feel free to leave the page and come back later once the scraping is complete.
If you’ve used the hint multiple times in a short period, Sigmund may need to take a break. Please try again later when Sigmund is ready to assist you.
A genre highlighted in orange means you’ve selected it previously. Sigmund may not be able to find new contacts if new playlists aren’t being created often. For fresh contacts, try selecting new and unique genres. If you’re out of ideas, use the light bulb to get Sigmund's suggestion.
The summary provides key metrics related to your curator requests and contacts:
Requests Sent
The total number of requests you've sent over time.
Curators Available
The number of unused curator contacts you can still send requests to. This number may change even if you haven't sent new requests or scraped new contacts. Sigmund continuously updates contact lists for selected genres and removes curators who violate SFScoop’s Terms of Use.
Recent Scraping History
This section displays the three most recent scrapes, including: Selected genres, Scrape date, Number of curators found.
Sigmund gathers multiple types of curator contact information, such as social media profiles, emails, and websites. Currently, not all contact methods are supported for sending requests. As a result, some contacts are set aside until additional communication channels are implemented. Once new methods become available, previously found contacts may become usable.
The Request Template Builder allows you to create unique, personalized requests for each of your tracks.
Every new request starts with a blank template. If you've sent requests before, you can access previous templates via the template dropdown menu. You can edit and save a template using the save icon or delete it with the trash can icon.
Important: If you have selected a template but want to create a new one, click on the template dropdown menu and then the + button — this will clear all fields for a fresh start. If you click the trash can icon when a template is active, it will be permanently deleted.
A template consists of several components:
Track for Submission
Select a track from the dropdown menu and use the filter box to search by track or album name. Track selection is optional, but if chosen, Sigmund will generate a subject and message content based on the track. In the future, this will also allow tracking whether the curator adds the song to their playlist.
Subject Field
Enter a compelling subject line — the first thing curators see in your request.
Content Field
Write your message in the content field. Be original and include links to your tracks so curators can easily find them.
Generate Content Button
Sometimes it is very difficult to come up with and write an original request. However, Sigmund is ready to write it for you. Click Generate Content, and Sigmund will create a structured, professional request. If a track is selected, Sigmund will include its title, link, and relevant details.
Send Menu
Choose the number of requests you want to send. Each request is sent to a unique curator from your available contacts. Once you've decided on the template and the number of requests, click Send, and Sigmund will immediately deliver them.
Pricing
Each request costs 5 SFS tokens, but Sigmund may grant free requests from time to time.
Monthly Limit
You can send up to 100 curator requests each month.
If you've used content generation multiple times in a short period, Sigmund needs a break. Try again later when Sigmund is ready to assist you.
The Request History allows you to track all sent requests. You can filter requests by curator or playlist name using the filter field or by status using the funnel icon.
When you click on a request you can see the request date, open chat with the curator (if available), or view the curator's playlists (if available). A stack icon next to a curator's name indicates that they manage multiple playlists.
Request Statuses:
Pending
The request has been sent, but the curator has not responded yet. You do not have access to chat with the curator, but you can view his playlists.
Featured
The curator has added your track to his playlist.
Suspended
The request has been suspended because the curator violated SFScoop’s Terms of Use. Sigmund is blocking access to chat with the curator and does not display playlist names.
Expired
A long time has passed since the request was sent, and the curator has not responded. Sigmund closes access to chat with the curator, but you can still view their playlists.
Discussing
The curator has responded to your request. You have access to chat and communicate with them.
